Below you will find all categories open for the Clanwilliam Pharmacist Awards. Nominations close on Friday 21st July.

Excellence in Community Pharmacy Award

To be awarded to a pharmacist whose exceptional professional efforts have enabled community pharmacy services to be delivered in a manner more beneficial to the public.

Excellence in Locum Pharmacy Award

This award recognises a pharmacist working as a full time locum pharmacist whose activities in the course of their professional duties and development is judged to be the most commendable. This award is open to pharmacists who locum in either the community or hospital sectors.

Patient Nominated Award

To be nominated by patients and the members of the public. To be awarded to a pharmacist who in the course of their duty went above and beyond to give service that is noteworthy and made a positive impact on the patient’s life or health. Professional Excellence Award

This award is open to all pharmacists working in areas other than community or hospital pharmacy. For example, this may include pharmacists working in industry, regulatory bodies, universities, the HSE, administration and other roles.

Young Pharmacist of the Year Award

To be awarded to a pharmacist under the age of 30 years whose activities in the course of their professional duties and development is judged to be the most commendable.

Practice-based Research Award

This award is offered to patient-facing pharmacists who, in addition to their regular work, are engaged in research to identify, recognise and promote evidence-based strategies for optimising the delivery of patient care. Academic Practice Collaborations will be viewed favourably by the judges

Excellence in Hospital Pharmacy Award

To be awarded to a hospital pharmacist whose exceptional professional efforts have enabled hospital pharmacy services to be delivered in a manner more beneficial to the public.

Pharmacist Contribution to Community Award

To be awarded to a pharmacist working in any area of the profession who has, through involvement in non-pharmacy work, delivered notable benefits for the wider community.

Liz Herbert Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award

To be awarded to the pharmacist, practicing or recently retired, whose efforts on behalf of the profession in Ireland over their lifetime, are adjudged to have been the most remarkable.

Pharmacist-led team Award

To be awarded to a pharmacist-led team that demonstrates a collaborative, creative and innovative, team-based initiative that resulted in health benefit locally or nationally. Please note – the award will be made to the Pharmacist who leads the team.
